EDM Operator

EDM Operator Vacancy - £37,000 - £43,000 DOE Location: Corsham, Wiltshire Hours: Monday–Thursday 8:00am–5:00pm, Friday 8:00am–1:00pm Overtime: Available Eligibility: Must be eligible to work in the UK Key Responsibilities: * Program, set and operate EDM sparking and wire machines * Produce precision components to tight tolerances * Work from engineering drawings, including geometric tolerances * Carry out first-off and in-process inspections * Set machine parameters to optimise performance * Maintain accurate production and inspection records * Troubleshoot machine and process issues * Keep machines and work areas clean and organised (5S) * Follow job packs and complete operations as required * Report progress and issues to the Cell Lead Requirements: * Proven experience as an EDM Setter, Operator or Programmer * Ability to read and interpret technical drawings * Experience working with precision components * Knowledge of machining various materials * Good attention to detail and ability to work to tight tolerances * Basic IT skills for data entry and record keeping * Able to work independently and as part of a team Desirable: * Experience with Sodick machines or programming * Background in precision engineering environments What's Offered: * Competitive salary based on experience * Half-day finish every Friday * Overtime opportunities * Company pension scheme (after qualifying period) * Mileage subsidy to and from work * Uniform and PPE provided * Onsite parking, free tea and coffee * Cycle to work scheme ...
